About Us

Labs come in many shapes and sizes, but they tend to have an outsized environmental footprint due to the energy, water, and materials needed to safely conduct research. While many efforts have been made to reduce the waste created by equipment, supplies, and packaging in labs, a circular economy seeks to optimize resources and product use by reducing materials and waste, recovering materials for reuse, and recycling. All these topics will be addressed in this community through a variety of webinars, roundtables, forums, blogs, and other resources. We welcome the exchange of information among lab users and suppliers and uplifting of new ideas to improve lab sustainability, as long as they adhere to our rules of engagement.
