Instead of asking a sustainability question, I thought I'd ask a fun one instead: Who is everyone's favourite Star Wars character?
(Mine is BD-1! BD-1 is the delightful and agile companion of Cal Ketsis in some of the Star Wars video games!)
Happy to connect you with a couple of my people: Case Western Reserve University -- I've heard they do this really well. I don't believe Tami is in the I2SL COP, but would be more than happy to connect you via email. Please reach out and let me know! Cleveland Clinic has an entirely different program that's really interesting. After recycling disruptions in 2019, they built a new specialized stream they call "purple bag recycling". The program is opt-in for laboratories, clinical operating rooms, and office spaces. They have an in-house sorting system, partnering with a Cleveland Clinic workforce training program for young adults with cognitive disabilities. They negotiate all of their contracts with materials recyclers and communicate any updates or noncompliance issues with the participants of the purple bag recycling program. Please let me know if you'd like to learn any more or connect with that program manager. mcamhi@shebuildscle.com
