I am working with my local industrial compost co-op and hauler to create an infographic to present to my local academic institutions with animal facilities. Does anyone have some stats to share about the proportion of waste in the context of total facility waste - or percentage of CO2eq of total research operations? Or any other stat that would be useful in conveying the impact a compost program might have? 🔥🌱 So far, I some stats from UAB and NIH: - Animal Bedding makes up 8-14% of solid waste (not enough references to be confident), - UAB generates at least 7 tons a week - Makes up12% of NIH’s solid waste stream Anything you can share would be so appreciated! I will share the infographic once it's finished. :)
